It's 2011 and we are very excited to be celebrating the HSO's 30th birthday! Three decades on, we're bigger and better than ever. A lot has changed since the 80's (the hairstyles, for starters), but one thing will never change - we love sharing our passion for music with each other and with the local community! So here's to the future. Cheers!
Do you love playing music? Would you like to meet like-minded people who share your passion? The HSO meets on Monday evenings and we are always on the look-out for more players. Click here to learn more.
Our Symphonic Spectacular concert was held on October 22. Despite the unseasonally dreary weather, it was a great turnout. Many thanks to everyone who came along - we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! The Sentimental Saraband from Benjamin Britten's Simple Symphony was definitely a highlight, as well as some beautiful piano playing by Irena Vasil'eva. Don't forget to check out Cappuccino Concerts http://www.cappuccino-concerts.com.au/ if you want to hear some more!
