Special Guest Vocalists - Elfenbrook 2023

10/10/2023

Our final concert is almost here!
We are excited to once again be part of Elfenbrook, a wonderful community event organised by our friends Ellenbrook Community Collective.

Joining us this year as our very special guest vocalist is the incredibly talented Louise Anton!
We will also be joined by guest vocalist Callum Presbury.

Louise Anton

HSO is very excited to be sharing the stage with Louise once again.

Very few artists can boast a resume that includes working with International stars Tom Jones, Sting, Shirley Bassey, The Wrights, Jet, Powderfinger, Spiderbait, Living End, Neil Finn, John Farnham and more. Such is the talent of singer, pianist, songwriter Louise Anton.

You might remember Louise as host of one of WA's first talent shows, Perth's Young Entertainers. Since then, she's lived the dream working in Europe, Asia and across Australia to great acclaim.

We have been privileged to have shared the stage with Louise in the past, joining us for concerts such as our Unforgettable 50's/60's concert and also returning for our Best of the Decade concert in 2019.

It is always a joy to have Louise part of our shows, she is just wonderful - both her voice and as a person!

Callum Presbury

Callum Presbury is a well-known musical theatre performer and lead vocalist in several rock bands around the Perth area. He performs regularly in the community and enjoys giving back to the industry he loves.

Callum has previously joined us for our 90's & 00's show in October, doing a fantastic job belting out tunes by The Foo Fighters, Goo Goo Dolls, and more.
We loved having Callum on stage with us that we asked him to join us again for Aveley Carols and Elfenbrook.

Isabella Bourgault

If you've been to a HSO concert before, you will probably recognise Bella.
A HSO member and one of our trumpet players, we are lucky to have such a talented singer as part of the orchestra.

Bella joined the Hills Symphony Orchestra in 2015 as principal trumpet and hasn’t looked back. In 2016, she furthered her musical career with a degree in Music Theatre at WAAPA. She has since been involved in a number of community theatre productions and is also the lead singer in the blues/rock band Blues ConFusion.

We are thrilled to announce that one of Perth's prominent burlesque performers will be joining our acts for our upcoming Cirque d'Orchestre  show!

The dazzling Lucy Lovegun will perform her very own fun and flirty fan dance with the Hills Symphony Orchestra on  Saturday 22nd July  at Midland Town Hall.

This one-night-only show will also feature a group student act by Sugar Blue Burlesque, performing a  burlesque/showgirl inspired routine taught by Lucy Lovegun herself!

Bringing the colour and class, it’s a must see community show for anyone who appreciates the art of burlesque in all its forms.

We are proud to introduce Patrick Hubble as our new HSO President. Having been a violinist in the Hills Symphony orchestra since he was 14 and one of the orchestra's previous Concertmaster also, Patrick has been involved in the orchestra for the majority of his life and witnessed its ability to make a healthy and positive impact for both members and the wider community. He musically enjoys the wide repertoire the orchestra plays, from contemporary to traditional forms of music, and he loves film soundtracks. He believes that more than just a simple opportunity to enjoy music, the orchestra allows the young and the old, the experienced and the new, an opportunity for fulfilment and connection and he looks forward to continuing the orchestra's strong legacy of engaging positively in our lives and within our community.
